Bridal Veil Falls on the way to Lake Serene, is a spectacular set of falls, easily accessible from Highway 2 near Index, Washington. It took me 5 hr 30 min for 8.6 miles and 2800 ft elevation gain.
The first set of falls are roughly 2 miles and 850 feet elevation from the trailhead. There is another set of falls, spanning a wider mouth, about .5 miles after the fork to Lake Serene. Be aware that the rest of the trail to the lake is quite brutal, packing 1500 feet of elevation over 1.5 miles and grades around 20-30%.
