Mount Townsend

Mount Townsend is a relatively easy hike, close to Seattle, with incredible views spanning from Vancouver Island, Port Angeles, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the San Juan Islands, Mount Baker, Glacier Peak, Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Mount St-Helens, and the entire Puget Sound, including Seattle.

This is my first trip here, with some snow on the ground. I decided to camp overnight at “Camp Windy”, which is not exposed at all, and not windy to the least.

I woke up early to catch the sunrise from the peak, which was truly spectacular. Highly recommend it!

It took me 4 hr 45 min for 10 miles and 3000 ft elevation.
