Mount Townsend
Mount Townsend is a relatively easy hike, close to Seattle, with incredible views spanning from Vancouver Island, Port Angeles, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the San Juan Islands, Mount Baker, Glacier Peak, Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, Mount St-Helens, and the entire Puget Sound, including Seattle. It is doable as a day hike from Seattle, taking the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston. The peak provides an incredible sense of the region, in all of its glory. It took me 3 hr 30 min for 8.8 miles and 2900 ft elevation.
